Bai Jiang Cao (Patrinia)

Latin Name: Herba cum Radice Patriniae

Properties: acrid, bitter, slightly cold

Actions: removes toxins, clears heat, reduces inflammation, eliminates pain due to blood stagnation

Medical Indications: acute appendicitis, periotonitis, conjunctivitis, neurasthenia, intestinal abscesses, abdominal pain due to blood stagnation, inflammation of the intestine, diarrhea, flatulence

Contraindications: not to be used in cases of spleen and stomach deficiency

Caution: over dosage may cause dizziness or nausea

Dosage: 10 to 20 grams
