Bai Hua She (Agkistrodon)

Latin Name: Agkistrodon Seu Bungarus

Properties: sweet, salty, warm, toxic

Actions: dispels and extinguishes wind from skin and muscles, stops convulsions, unblocks channels

Medical Indications: chronic numbness and pain, hemiplegia, paralysis, skin disorders such as itching skin, rash, chronic non-healing ulcers, hives, muscle cramps, spasms, tetanus, seizures, convulsions

Contraindications: not to be used (or only to be used with extreme caution) in patients with Yin deficiency and/or blood dryness

Caution: Bai Hua She She Cao should not be taken together with anti-coagulant drugs

Dosage: 3 to 10 grams
