Bai Dou Kou (Cardamom)

Latin Name: Amomum Cardamomum

Properties: acrid, warm, aromic

Actions: moves Qi, dissolves dampness, strengthens stomach, warms spleen and stomach, descends rebellious Qi

Medical Indications: stomach pain, flatulence, belching, abdominal fullness and distention, vomiting, abdominal pain, malarial disorders

Contraindications: not to be used in patients with Yin or blood deficiency

Dosage: 3 to 6 grams
