Ai Ye

Latin Name: Artemisiae Argyi Folium

Properties: bitter, acrid, warm

Actions: warms the channels and stops bleeding, relaxes the smooth muscles of bronchi, relieves cough, asthma, and resolves phlegm, dispels cold and alleviates pain, pacifies the fetus.

Medical Indications: asthma, chronic bronchitis, chronic hepatitis, painful or irregular menses, miscarriage, sinus imflammation

Contraindications: Yin deficiency or heat in blood

Dosage: 4 to 10 grams
