Properties: sweet, salty, warm
Actions: tonifies kidneys, strengthens Yang, moistens intestines, warms womb
Medical Indications: impotence due to kidney Yang deficiency, infertility, constipation due to Qi or blood deficiency, excessive uterine bleeding, yeast infection due to cold deficient womb, inflammation or bleeding of kidneys and bladder, high blood pressure
Contraindications: not to be used in cases of diarrhea due to spleen deficiency, not to be used in patients with heat signs
Dosage: 9 to 21 grams
