Latin Name: Herba Dianthi

Properties: bitter, cold

Actions: clears heat, promotes urination, invigorates blood, breaks up blood stasis

Medical Indications: painful urination due to damp heat, cramps or amenorrhea with blood clots caused by blood stagnation, gynecological sores and swellings caused by toxins and damp heat

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy

Dosage: 6 to 12 grams
