Latin Name: Herba Artemisiae Apiaceae

Properties: bitter, cold

Actions: clears summerheat, clears Yin and blood deficiency heat, cools blood, clears liver and gall bladder heat, stops bleeding, treats malaria, brightens eyes

Medical Indications: fever and fever with chills, headaches, dizziness, stifling sensation in chest, chronic febrile disorders, no sweating, thirst, irritability, flushed face, nosebleeds, red eyes, eye disorders, purpuric rash

Contraindications: not to be used in postpartum women with blood deficiency, not to be used in cases of spleen deficiency with cold

Dosage: 3 to 12 grams
