Qian Nian Jian (Homalomena Rhizome)
Latin Name: Rhizoma Homalomenae
Properties: acrid, bitter, warm
Actions: dispels wind and dampness, strengthens tendons and bones
Medical Indications: joint pain, pain and numbness in tendons, spasms and weakness in sinews and bones, traumatic injuries
Contraindicatons: not to be used during pregnancy
Caution: overdose may cause nausea, vomiting, convulsions, urinary and bowel incontince, and unconsciousness
Dosage: 4.5 to 9 grams
