Properties: sweet, cold

Actions: clears lungs, disseminates lung Qi, moistens intestines, unblocks bowels, promotes rashes, relieves wheezing

Medical Indications: asthma, bronchitis, cough, phlegm, sore throat, hoarseness, chest oppression, bitter taste in mouth, dry throat, wheezing, constipation, dry stool with headache and fever due to heat in intestines, incomplete rashes, chicken pox, measles, shingles

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy, not to be used in cases with diarrhea or loose stools, not to be used in cases of deficient cold

Dosage: 3 to 5 seeds
