Latin Name: Fructus Ligustri Lucidi

Properties: bitter, sweet, neutral

Actions: nourishes and tonifies liver and kidneys, clears Xu heat, brightens eyes, improves vision

Medical Indications: tinnitus, dizziness, spots before eyes, weak and sore low back and knees, prematurely grey hair, vision problems, dry eyes, painful red eyes due to liver Yang rising

Contraindications: not to be used in cases of spleen and stomach deficiency with diarrhea, not to be used in cases of Yang deficiency

Dosage: 4.5 to 15 grams
