Properties: sweet, bitter, neutral

Actions: disperses wind heat, eliminates superficial visual obstruction, clears heat, stops bleeding

Medical Indications: redness, swelling, or pain in eyes, blurred vision, cloudiness, conjunctivitis, cataract, headaches caused by wind heat, bleeding hemorrhoids, bloody stool

Contraindications: none

Caution: to be used with caution during pregnancy, to be used with caution in cases with Qi and blood deficiency, urinary frequency, and depletion of fluids

Dosage: 3 to 9 grams
