Properties: sweet, bland

Actions: moistens lungs, clears voice, relieves cough, regulates Qi, soothes liver, heals sores

Medical Indications: cough, hoarseness, sore throat, loss of voice, epigastric and flank pain caused by Qi stagnation, sores due to damp heat

Contraindications: none

Caution: to be used with caution in patients with loss of voice caused by wind cold

Dosage: 3 to 6 grams
