Properties: bitter, cold

Actions: clears heat, cools liver, kills parasites, strengthens spleen, relaxes bowels

Medical Indications: constipation, insomnia, irritability, dizziness, and headaches caused by heat in large intestine and liver, childhood nutritional impairment due to roundworms, eczema, ringworms, burns

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy, not to be used during menstruation, not to be used in cases of rectal bleeding, not to be used in cases of spleen deficiency

Dosage: 0.3 to 1.5 grams
