Latin Name: Rhizoma Phragmitis Communis

Properties: sweet, cold

Actions: clears lung and stomach heat, promotes urination, generates fluids, vents rashes

Medical Indications: high fever, thirst, irritability, nausea and vomiting due to heat, belching, cough, dark urine due to heat

Contraindications: not to be used in cases of cold from spleen and stomach deficiency

Dosage: 15 to 30 grams
