Latin Name: Radix Rhapontici

Properties: bitter, salty, cold

Actions: reduces heat, removes heat toxins, promotes lactation, relieves carbuncles

Medical Indications: sores, swellings, carbuncles, scarlet fever, mastitis and abscesses in breast caused by heat, difficulty in lactation caused by heat

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy

Dosage: 5 to 9 grams
