Liu Ji Nu (Artemisia)
Latin Name: Artemisiae Anomalae
Properties: bitter, warm
Actions: relieves blood stasis and food stasis, promotes menses, stops pain, promotes digestion
Medical Indications: amenorrhea, abdominal pain (also postpartum), traumatic injuries such as fractures, sprains, or burns, indigestion and abdominal pain due to food stasis
Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy, not to be used in cases of diarrhea due to spleen deficiency
Caution: to be used with caution in cases of Qi and blood deficiency
Dosage: 3 to 9 grams
