Latin Name: Thallus Laminariae

Properties: salty, cold

Actions: dissolves phlegm, softens hardness, regulates water circulaton, promotes urination, reduces swelling

Medical Indication: nodules in neck, goiter, and scrofula, liver and spleen enlargement, fullness in chest, rheumatoid arthritis, dysuria, edema, thyroid disorders, obesity

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy

Caution: to be used with caution in cases with spleen and stomach deficiency, and phlegm due to cold

Dosage: 10 to 15 grams
