Latin Name: Tussilago Farfara

Properties: acrid, warm

Actions: descends Qi, moistens lungs, resolves phlegm, stops cough

Medical Indications: cough due to coldness, heat, or Yin deficiency

Contraindications: none

Caution: to be used with caution in cases of cough due to heat, lung abscesses, and blood in sputum

Dosage: 5 to 9 grams
