Ju Hong (Tangerine Peel)

Latin Name: Citrus Reticulata

Properties: acrid, bitter, warm

Actions: regulates Qi, harmonizes middle Jiao, relieves diaphragm, improves transportive function of spleen, dries dampness, transforms phlegm

Medical Indications: cough with sputum, vomiting, belching

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy
Caution: to be used with caution in cases of Yin or Qi deficiency, hot phlegm, hemoptysis, and dry heat cough

Dosage: 3 to 9 grams
