Latin Name: Flos Lonicerae Japonicae

Properties: sweet, cold

Actions: clears damp heat from lower Jiao, reduces toxins, clears pathogenic wind heat

Medical Indications: fever, common cold, sore throat, headache, dysentery, diarrhea, intestinal abscesses, sores, boils, swellings, painful urination

Contraindications: not to be used in cases where diarrhea results from cold in spleen and stomach, not to be used in cases of Qi deficiency sores and Yin ulcers

Dosage: 9 to 15 grams
