Ji Xue Teng (Millettia Root and Vine, Spatholobus)

Latin Name: Spatholobi Caulis

Properties: bitter, slightly sweet, warm

Actions: tonifies blood, invigorates channels and relaxes tendons

Medical Indications: gynecological disorders such as amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, irregular menses caused by deficiency or blood stasis, rheumatoid arthritis, numbness, vertigo, paralysis

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy, not to be used during heavy menses

Dosage: 10 to 20 grams
