Latin Name: Talcum

Properties: sweet, bland, cold

Actions: clears heat, drains dampness, promotes urination

Medical Indications: urinary tract infections, diarrhea, fever, irritability, thirst, skin conditions caused by damp heat such as rashes, eczema, sores, athlete’s foot

Contraindications: none

Caution: to be used with caution during pregnancy, to be used with caution in cases with excessive urination or damaged body fluids caused by heat, spleen Qi deficiency, or spermatorrhea

Dosage: 10 to 15 grams
