Hong Teng (Sargentodoxa Vine)

Latin Name: Caulis Sargentodoxae

Properties: bitter, neutral

Actions: clears heat and toxins, dispels blood stagnation, reduces abscesses, relieves pain

Medical Indications: intestinal abscesses due to heat, toxin, or stagnation, dymenorrhea, appendicitis, traumatic injuries, skin lesions with heat signs

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy

Caution: to be used with caution together with anticoagulatory drugs

Dosage: 10 to 15 grams
