Latin Name: Semen Sesame Indici

Properties: sweet, neutral

Actions: nourishes and tonifies liver and kidneys, nourished blood, extinguishes wind, lubricates and moistens intestines

Medical Indications: dizziness, blurred vision, tinnitus, headaches and numbness caused by bloood or Yin deficiency, constipation due to lack of blood or Yin, premature graying hair

Contraindications: not to be used in cases of diarrhea due to spleen deficiency

Caution: to be used with caution in cases with toothache caused by fire rising

Dosage: 10 to 30 grams
