Latin Name: Folium Nelumbinis Nuciferae

Properties: bitter, slightly sweet, neutral

Actions: raises and clears spleen Yang, stops bleeding due to heat stagnation, relieves summerheat

Medical Indications: excessive sweating, fever, and/or diarrhea caused by summerheat, bleeding due to heat stagnation

Contraindicatons: not to be used during pregnancy, not to be used in cases of bleeding due to cold or deficiency

Dosage: 9 to 15 grams
