Latin Name: Rhizoma Anemarrhenae

Properties: bitter, sweet, cold

Actions: clears heat, drains fire, nourishes Yin, moistens dryness, generates fluids

Medical Indications: high fever with rapid flooding pulse, irritability, intense thirst, dry mouth, dry throat, wasting and thirsting disorder, night sweats, afternoon fevers, steaming bone fever due to lung and kidney Yin deficiency, leakage of vital essences, spermatorrhea

Contraindications: not to be used in cases of diarrhea due to spleen deficiency

Dosage: 10 to 20 grams
