Latin Name: Rhizoma Alismatis

Properties: sweet, bland, cold

Actions: drains dampness, promotes urination, drains kidney fire

Medical Indications: edema, painful and difficult urination, urinary tract infections, vertigo, dizziness, diarrhea, premature ejaculation, spermatorrhea, nocturnal emissions due to kidney fire

Contraindications: not to be used in cases of damp cold, leucorrhagia, or spermatorrhea due to kidney Yang deficiency

Caution: to be used with caution in cases of sunken Qi in middle Jiao

Dosage: 5 to 10 grams
