Yuan Hua (Genkwa Flower)

Latin Name: Flos Daphnes Genkwa

Properties: bitter, acrid, warm, toxic

Actions: drains downward, expels congested fluids, kills parasites

Medical Indications: edema, ascites, ringworm, fungal infections

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy, not to be used together with Gan Cao

Dosage: 1.5 to 3 grams
