Latin Name: Rhizoma Polygonati Odorati
Properties: sweet, slightly bitter, cold
Actions: nourishes Yin, moistens Dryness, moistens and softens sinews, extinguishes wind
Medical Indications: dry throat, dry cough, dry mouth, dry tongue, thirst, irritability, wasting and thirsting disorder with constipation, epigastric pain, spasms and pain in sinews, dizziness
Contraindications: not to be used in cases of damp phlegm and Qi stagnation in stomach
Dosage: 10 to 15 grams
