Latin Name: Herba Houttuyniae

Properties: acrid, bitter, cool

Actions: eliminates heat and toxins, drains dampness, expels pus

Medical Indications: lung abscesses, peumonia, bronchitis, infections, cough, internal and external sores, colitis, urinary tract infections

Contraindications: not to be used in cases of deficiency cold, not to be used for Yin type carfuncles

Dosage: 15 to 60 grams
