Latin Name: Stigma Maydis

Properties: sweet, neutral

Actions: clears damp heat from liver and gallbladder, promotes urination, reduces edema

Medical Indications: hepatitis, gallstones, gallbladder inflammation, hypertension with symptoms of damp heat, edema due to nephritis, swellings, painful urination, diabetes

Contraindications: none

Caution: to be used with caution together with diuretics and coumadin

Dosage: 15 to 30 grams
