Latin Name: Artemisia Capillaris

Properties: bitter, acrid, cool

Actions: clears damp heat from liver and gallbladder, treats febrile diseases with damp heat, treats Yang type jaundice, promotes urination

Medical Indications: hepatitis, jaundice, hyperlipidemia, infectious cholecystitis, intermittent fever and chills, chest constriction, bitter taste in mouth, nausea, dizziness, loss of appetite, headaches, constipation, flank pain, rheumatism, tumors, itching, painful menses, spasms, urinary dysfunctions, abdominal distention, malaria

Contraindications: not to be used in cases of jaundice due to blood accumulation

Caution: to be used with caution in cases without damp heat

Dosage: 9 to 15 grams
