Latin Name: Radix Stellariae

Properties: sweet, cool

Actions: clears heat, clears deficient heat, stops bleeding, cools blood, reduces childhood malnutrition

Medical Indications: fever, night sweats, steaming bone disorder, irritability and thirst due to childhood malnutrition, bloody cough, nosebleed, uterine bleeding, blood in urine

Contraindications: not to be used in cases of exterior wind cold and blood deficiency without fever

Dosage: 3 to 9 grams
