Latin Name: Semen Coicis Lachrymae Jobi

Properties: sweet, bland, slightly cool

Actions: clears wind dampness, tonifies spleen, relieves pain and spasms, clears heat, expels pus

Medical Indications: edema, dysuria, damp febrile disorders, diarrhea, arthritis pain, muscle spasms, lung abscesses, intestinal abscesses, vaginal yeast infections, difficulty in urination

Contraindications: not to be used long-termin cases of weakness and coldness

Caution: to be used with caution during pregnancy, to be used with caution in cases of spleen deficiency

Dosage: 9 to 30 grams
