Latin Name: Radix Polygoni Multiflori

Properties: sweet, slightly bitter, neutral

Actions: calms spirit, nourishes heart and blood, unblocks channels, alleviates itching

Medical Indications: irritability, insomnia, dream-disturbed sleep, soreness, weakness, numbness, pain, skin rash, itching due to wind, diarrhea, TB

Contraindications: not to be used in cases of phlegm or diarrhea due to kidney Yang deficiency

Caution: to be used with caution in cases of spleen deficiency

Dosage: 9 to 30 grams
