Ya Dan Zi (Brucea Fruit)

Latin Name: Fructus Bruceae

Properties: bitter, cold, toxic

Actions: destroys parasites, treats dysentery, treats malaria

Medical Indications: diarrhea, dysentery, alternating chills, malaria, trichomonas vaginitis, warts, corns

Contraindications: not to be used in cases with nausea and vomiting, and in cases with spleen or stomach deficiency, not to be taken in large doses or long-term, not to be taken in patients with kidney and liver diseases, and gastrointestinal bleeding

Caution: to be used with caution during pregnancy and in small infants

Dosage: 0.5 to 2 grams
