Latin Name: Semen Pruni Armeniacae

Properties: bitte, slightly warm, slightly toxic

Actions: moistens intestines, unblocks bowels, stops cough, calms wheezing

Medical Indications: constipation, cough, wheezing, hemorrhage, spasms, eye inflammation, vaginal infections

Contraindications: not to be used in cases of cough and diarrhea due to Yin deficiency

Caution: to be used with caution in infants and in patients with diarrhea

Dosage: 3 to 9 grams
