Xi Xian Cao (Herb Siegesbeckia)

Latin Name: Herba Siegesbeckiae

Properties: bitter, cold

Actions: dispels wind heat dampness, opens channels, clears heat and toxins, pacifies liver, stops itching, calms spirit

Medical Indications: rheumatism, pain, spasms, numbness, paralysis, weakness after stroke, headaches, dizziness, eczema, sores, rash, itching due to damp heat, hypertension due to heat, irritability, insomnia, forgetfulness

Contraindications: not to be used in cases of Yin or blood deficiency

Dosage: 6 to 15 grams
