Latin Name: Cornu Rhinoceri

Properties: bitter, salty, cold

Actions: relieves fire toxicity, relieves pathogenic heat in blood, stops bleeding, stops convulsions

Medical Indications: high fever, delirium, tremors with loss of consciousness, convulsions, epistaxis, vomiting blood, bacterial skin infections

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy, not to be used in cases of heat from blood deficiency, not to be used together with Chuan Wu, Lei Wan, and Zhi Cao Wu

Caution: to be used with caution in cases of rashes due to Qi deficiency

Dosage: 1 to 2 grams
