Latin Name: Fructus Pruni Mume

Properties: sour, warm

Actions: inhibits leakage of lung Qi, stops cough, alleviates pain, generates fluids, alleviates thirst, binds intestines, stops diarrhea, expels roundworms, stops abdominal pain

Medical Indications: chronic cough, wasting and thirsting, dysentery, abdominal pain, diarrhea, glood in stool, rectal bleeding, vaginal bleeding, excessive uterine bleeding, roundworms, corns and warts

Contraindications: not to be used in cases with internal heat and stagnation, not to be used together with sulfonamides

Dosage: 3 to 9 grams
