Wu Gong (Centipede)

Latin Name: Scolopendra

Properties: acrid, warm, toxic

Actions: clears wind and spasm, attacks fire toxins, dissipates nodules, unblocks collaterals, stops pain

Medical Indications: seizures, convulsions, lock jaw, tetanus, obstinate headaches, arthralgia, skin diseases, carbuncles, sores, scrofula, ulceration, neck lumps, snake bites

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy

Dosage: 0.6 to 3 grams
