Latin Name: Semen Vaccariae

Properties: bitter, neutral

Actions: invigorates blood, opens channels, drains abscesses, promotes lactation, reduces swellings

Medical Indications: irregular menses, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, arthritis, breast or testicular swellings with pain, insufficient lactation, breast abscesses and swellings

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy, not to be used during excess bleeding and heavy periods

Caution: to be used with caution in deficient patients

Dosage: 3 to 9 grams
