Tu Niu Xi (Achyranthis Root)

Latin Name: Radix Achyranthis

Properties: bitter, sour, neutral

Actions: reduces toxins, clears heat toxins on skin, drains fire, invigorates blood

Medical Indications: pneumonia, diphteria, painful and swollen throat, abscesses, sores, snake bites, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy

Dosage: 9 to 30 grams
