Tian Ma (Gastrodia Root)

Latin Name: Rhizoma Gastrodiae

Properties: sweet, neutral

Actions: calms liver, clears wind, alleviates pain, disperses painful obstructions

Medical Indications: epilepsy, tremors, spasms, vertigo, headaches, neurasthenia, pain, numbness, dizziness

Contraindications: not to be used in cases with Yin deficiency

Dosage: 3 to 10 grams
