Latin Name: Semen Zizyphi Spinosae

Properties: sweet, sour, neutral

Actions: nourishes heart Yin, tonifies liver blood, calms spirit, prevents abnormal sweating, lowers blood pressure

Medical Indications: anxiety, insomnia, palpitations, irritability due to deficiency, spontaneous sweating, nightsweats, hypertension

Contraindications: not to be used in cases with heat and chronic diarrhea

Dosage: 10 to 20 grams
