Mo Yao (Myrrh)

Latin Name: Resina Myrrhae

Properties: bitter, neutral

Actions: moves blood, dispels blood stasis, alleviates pain, reduces swellings, promotes healing

Medical Indications: rheumatoid arthritis, injuries, bruises, sores, ulcers, tumors in uterus, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, post partum pain, angina pectoris, chest pain, abdominal pain, intestinal abscesses, egpigastric pain, inflammation in mouth, pharyngitis

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy, not to be used in patients with weak stomach, not to be used in cases without stasis, not to be used long-term

Dosage: 3 to 10 grams
