Latin Name: Portulacae Oleraceae

Properties: sour, cold

Actions: cools blood, relieves fire toxins, relieves dysentery, treats sores and furuncles due to damp heat

Medical Indications: dysentery due to fire toxins or damp heat, bloody urinary tract infections, vaginal discharge, uterine bleeding, post partum bleeding, snake bites, wasp stings

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy, not to be used in cases of cold from spleen and stomach deficiency

Dosage: 15 to 60 grams
