Latin Name: Retinervus Fructae Luffus

Properties: sweet, neutral

Actions: cools blood, removes toxins, promotes circulation of blood, removes obstructions from channels, expels phlegm, expels summer heat, promotes urination

Medical Indications: chest pain due to Qi and blood stasis, pain in muscles, sinews, and bones, stiff joints, breast abscesses, traumatic injuries, high fever, cold, nasal inflammation, sinusitis, cough with sticky sputum, insufficient lactation, swollen and painful breasts

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy

Dosage: 6 to 12 grams
