Latin Name: Hirudo Medicinalis

Properties: salty, bitter, neutral, toxic

Actions: breaks blood stasis, reduces immobile masses

Medical Indications: amenorrhea, traumatic injuries, and immobile abdominal masses due to blood stagnation

Contraindications: not to be used during pregnancy, not to be used together with anticoagulant drugs

Dosage: 1.5 to 3 grams
