Latin Name: Folium Pyrrosiae

Properties: bitter, sweet, slightly cold

Actions: clears damp heat, reduces edema, promotes urination, clears lungs, stops cough, expels phlegm, stops bleeding

Medical Indications: painful, burning urination with and without stones, or blood, edema, hematemesis, hypermenorrhea, epistaxis, bloody urine, chronic bronchitis, asthma, acute inflammation of kidneys

Contraindications: none

Caution: to be used with caution during pregnancy, to be used with caution in absence of damp heat

Dosage: 3 to 9 grams
